Of course it's not going to help with deep bass. It's a big improvement full range to include light bass. As mentioned earlier in this thread, if you haven't already done it turn your mid setting all the way down. That gave a noticeable diff. in low end bass.
Ok thanks for the info, think I'll go with my sub install soon than. I'm gonna have it done professionally this time. If you remember my previous post boosted the first time I attempted this it didn't turn out too well. For all you who don't know one wrong wire and my 45K car was useless.
Just had an Orion 10in. sub (in an enclosure) and a 60W/ch (RMS) amp installed. This sounds a LOT better. Iwas able to put the eq settings where they need to be. Smoke on the Water hasn't sounded this good, in my car, in a long time. I figure out later how to live with the big box LOL. For now, just enjoyin the sound.
How are you connecting aftermarket subs to factory systems? Just tapping into high level out and using an adapter to go back to low level for the custom sub amp?
Took my D to an audio store and they hooked up my sub using the processes that puts off the signal and worked it that way. The amp is hidden in the cargo storage area and the box fits behind te third seat but I do have future plans to fiberglass a enclosed soon
Car Stereo 1 in Toledo did all the work, but they installed an Orion Cobalt 3002, a PAC SOEMT 2Ch converter and an Orion 10in Sub already in an enclosure. Nice clean install, but I didn't trace all the wires down. They put a nice grill over the speaker to protect it.
