Make your durango more peepy
I have a 2011 rt and today I noticed that the uphill assist was turned on.
You can fill it working when you first start moving and then you fill like something lets go and the rt starts moving. I thought that this kind of made it more pepee. You can also check if the gas pedal trick works by removing the intake tube and checking if the throttle body fully opens up.
To turn off the uphill assist go to the car menu on the gage cluster and go to setting menu.

just want to add that holding a remote to your chin
will absolutely improve your alarm/ keyless entry/remote
start range. 10 years of installing all kinds of 12v alarms/remote starter systems in cars has proven this to me...
may also accelerate the risk of cancer, but thats
unproven...

He means he put his remote to his chin while pressing the keyfob button... it basically uses your body as a range extender for your remote.... It works... I've been doing this for a decade now.
If it's what I think you are referring to, the uphill assist is simply system that applies the brakes (and then only lightly) if the car is stopped on an uphill grade. This prevents you from rolling backwards before your foot gets from the brake to the gas. It's not going to have any impact on your throttle response, and won't even engage unless you are on a pretty good hill.
Unfortunately our Dodge's aren't smart enough to only apply the hill assist when you are on a hill so it holds your brakes all the time for a fraction of a second when you let off the brakes and accelerate. I turned mine off some time ago and would never go back. Turning it off significantly improves throttle response and I don't miss it one bit.
Agreed. My 2012 RT has never held the brake unless im on a hill or i have my foot on the brake. Any other situation my hemi is more than willing to go.
so finally tried the throttle "trick"...did it saturday when i
parked her in the garage, didn't take her out again
until today..this morning I was like "wow truck feels much more
responsive today"...totally forgetting I did the throttle adjust saturday!
she drove so much better that I took on a vette on the ride home
and actually thought I had a chance haha...in the end he burned me but it was close
for a bit...anyway MUCH improved response, felt like I just had a tune...
i wonder how good she'll be with this "trick" + a tune...(Ill find out when 2013's are supported...!)
