Default Make your durango more peepy

Ok,, not sure If you guys and gals are aware of this,, but I have a 2011 charger r/t,, so I tried something I learned over on the other forum to reset / recalibate your throttle..

1st. turn on durango (DONT START) so all the lights go on in the dash and wait for them to go back out,, the only one that should stay on is the engine light.

2nd. slowly press the gas pedal to the floor , hold for a second, then slowly bring it back up.

3rd. turn off keys,, wait a few seconds and start durango,, you will feel it beening alot more peepy,,, you will like it,, give it a try....

Please give it a try, and report back of how it worked for you...

If you push the button WITHOUT pressing the brake pedal, the button cycles through the three typical key spots, off, acc, ign (run).

Also, the dealer showed me that behind that button IS a key slot like you would normally expect. The button is just a blank insert into the slot. There is a key in the fob that you can pull out to manually start the car.

My question is how one removes the button insert.

There is a small void on the bottom of it, put your key in and pop it right out. I had mine out a few times for programming the keys to the presets. I think I will have to to it again when I get it back too....

I wonder how much more "peppy" he's talking about....

I do notice that its not very quick until you hit around 3k RPM's i hope that goes away.

I went out side and did the "procedure" and then drove it around the neighbor hood and don't really know if it did anything or not.....
