Did you take that piece out of the air box to put on the filter. I am trying to get it in the box with no luck ??

Which piece are you referring to? The air box itself should be wide open with a lip the same size as the opening on the filter. It's a bit of a squeeze but certainly not a challenge to get the filter pressed onto that lip. I also recommend putting the filter on and tightening down the ring while it is separated from the vehicle...too much hassle with the air box in place, if not impossible.

Shoot some pics to let me know where your troubles are and I might be able to help.

D ran flawless all week after the pcm flash (18.035.11) and stock air box.
Also the D was much nicer & smoother to drive after this flash.

Put back the Volant last night and let's hope the problem doesn't reoccur.

Durango started to act again all weekend....
Took it to the dealer Tuesday morning.
Verdict : PCM shot , new one installed...hopefully this time it's fix...

Just curious if you've been bringing it to the dealer with the aftermarket intake still installed. And if so, what has been their reaction when diagnosing issues with a non-OEM part installed in the engine. Are they quick to point blame and warranty issues with the intake?

By the way I've had my Volant installed for two weeks with no issue. Even took the Durango long driving on a weekend trip.

Yes I did leave the volant installed, was not even mentionned at any time.
Was just a coincidence that the problem happenned at the same time that I installed the CAI.
Had to hit the PCM for the car to start.....

D back to the dealer, starting problem again and sputtering...
At least now I know how to start it without calling the tow truck...
