Do we know if this is also the case for cold weather...meaning will it still be cold inside the DD instead of the heat turning on? I'm thinking the summer is about to end and who knows when I'll be going to the dealer any time soon after the fix is put out.

not sure since its always hot here in south FL even in the winter as of now you could turn your heat on in the car after you let the ac run and cool the car and everything off...switch to heat turn car off and then remote start and see if it heats the car up quicker than the sun would

What happens if you leave the heat or ac on when you exit the vehicle. will it be on when you remote start it? this is how any aftermarket unit is.

whereever i leave my setting when i get out of the car is where it will be when i rs it.

this is the way it is supposed to work however the factory remote start is not activating the ac compressor so it just blows hot air

I have a 12 R/T with a build date of 9/11 and if the AC is on auto when the truck is shut down it comes on and cools just fine when using the remote start. Is that what we are discussing here?? If I am close to the truck when using the remote start you can here the engine start, the compressor kick in and the electric fans go to full speed. I'm wondering why my truck is operating differently than the rest of you folks. ??

I have a 2011 and it works as advertised. Have dealer take another look. Good luck.

Using remote start: I know that in the winter, my heater comes on. In the summer, my a/c comes on.

Mine blows warm. Don't know my build date, but the dealer had just got the truck in stock the day I bought it, July 10th. So I'm sure it was built within the last few months.
