I've taken my issue to my local dealership multiple times on this issue. They give me the same ETA fix dates. It's just getting old hearing come back later...still no fix.

I did however contact Chrysler Customer Care this morning to file a formal complaint on the remote start issue. Not sure if it's going to help any but...they even gave me the "We'll call you back withing 24 hours" message. I'll post their response to this issue when/if they call me back.

DodgeCares, Thanks for your input though.
I agree with everything you have said here. The fact of the matter is that I should have known better than to even give an estimated date. I wanted to let people know that Chrysler is aware of the problem and that we are working on a fix so you don't waste your time at the dealership on an issue they cannot resolve. While I do not have a Durango with this same issue I do have a Jeep that I am waiting for a software fix for so I know how frustrating it can be. I apologize to everyone for the delay and I will post when any new info becomes available on this issue.

One more month, and I'm calling an attorney. If anyone needs a good one, PM me. This is BS to wait this long for a common feature that encourages sales. Its called bait and switch in my business, regardless of intent. JMO

WOW how is this bait and switch?? They told you it comes with remote start. does it still start the vehicle.. YES! the added features are a bonus. Many factory remote starts only simply started it so when you get in the engine is warm and in return will have warm air.

Might as well start a class action suit while your at it!

Was it a mistake for "dodge cares" to give a release date yes, but he is simply going off what he was told. He can only tell you what his sources tell him and im sure the software engineers that are working on the problem are testing it though and though so this doesnt happen again!

PS My remote start works GREAT!!

Go to the extreme much?

I don't get why you are so unhinged about this. They are working on it, it will get fixed.

Hey you are all entitled to your opinion, as am I. If your retort is to call names, and get personal then... well good for you. I expect to get what I pay for. If you don't then that's your perogative. This was a selling feature demonstrated to me on the lot when I was considering buying the vehicle. It's a feature I must have as it's hot all the time where I live. It's listed in the vehicle documents as a feature. I get it if it's not something you must have. How about we pretend it's something you really wanted when you bought it? I'm angry because #1, I've been ripped by Dodge before(along with many other people). Things happened to resolve our last problem and it took 2 years for a fix. I decided to give them another shot with a another family vehicle and this was a feature we really wanted. And , number two, it goes to show you how much priority Dodge is paying to this issue, It's obviously not a high priority, or it would be done by now. I own a business that makes thousands of new customers every year and if I sold them products that didn't live up to the sales pitch and took this long to make it right.. I'd be out of business.

Sorry if you don't get it. Sorry if you are okay for it to take 6 months to fix a silly programming issue like this. Keep buying the spin, that's okay. DO you really think it's taken this long to fix it, or do you think they just haven't done it. In my world, it would be high priority to fix an issue thats a feature on a product I HAVE ALREADY SOLD AND PROMISED.

Oh yeah.. don't forget your tax dollars helped save this company. You'd think their priorities would change to encourage sales.

LOL! The added features? OK sir, when did they add this BONUS feature? I'll wait for your response......

How about if the Adaptive Cruise Control didn't work since the truck came out? Or how about the navigation not working for 6 months. Or maybe the LED interior lighting .....

Would those be BONUS features? Get real man. I hope you never own a business, or if you do, you are my competition.

With your logic, we don't need no stinking lemon laws, do we Sadars?.....

Do you even know what the law is in your state?

Well put Gibson.

I bit my tongue when I read Baum's asinine "bonus" comment. But now that the door is open....nah, I shouldn't waste my time with ignorance.

I do however want to share a short story on how lucky I was the other day. My wife and I went out to eat and I asked the waiter if they had hamburgers. He said we sure do. So we each ordered a hamburger. When he brought us our hamburgers, my hamburger came with a bun while my wife's hamburger didn't. I was in disbelief! How lucky can a guy get! I didn't even ask for a bun on my hamburger. What a "bonus!"

As entertaining as this is, and I'm sure as it'll continue to be, this thread has taken a turn.
It started because someone couldn't figure out why their a/c didn't work when they remote started their vehicle. Once it was leaned that there was a bug, DodgeCares announced that Dodge is aware of this and is working on a fix which was expected to be released on Aug 13.
That day came and went and, yes, we're all pissed however the conversations now are just becoming juvenile and insulting... not what these forums are intended.
Before you say, "If you don't like it then unsubscribe" I, too, am waiting for DodgeCares to announce the release date.
