Lockpick CHR550 Group Buy
very interested and ready to order one of these! But before I do, I still don't understand the differences between the 2 units.
Will both units allow me to plug an iPhone into the headunit and play video & audio? Or with the v.5, I need a iPhone RCA cable to plug into the aux in, and with the CHR550, I just use the Apple connector on the box itself?
Do both provide a video out for rear displays? Do they support multiple zones (movie on the rear for kids, music on the front for driver/passenger)?
Thanks for the great deal, looking forward to getting one!

Or does the CHR550 also allow video to pass through the interface cable to the screen?
[QUOTE=Stoopalini;2861828]Thanks for that. So that's the only difference then?

Yes, including video, this is a big selling point for me, as I like to download movies to my iphone and play them back on the factory unit. It's my understanding that with the V5, you still have to operate all functions from your device, on the device. They don't show up on the screen like with he CHR550. Maybe someone with either one of these will chime in.

Is this group buy still happening and how many more orders are needed until the next batch are shipped out? I just came across the thread and ready to pull the trigger of it's still a go.
Looks like an awesome deal to me! Thanks.

Great question. I too am planning on getting the new IPhone, from what I've been able to find out, is that the new IPhone will have a different/smaller port for the charger, meaning that, our existing cords won't work. This will also affect the use of any device that the phone will hook-up to. However, I have also heard that Apple will have a new adapter that will hook into their existing cord making it useful for charging and operation of otherdevices.
Guess we will have to wait until later today for more info. during the reveal.
