Default Rattle on supposed official TSB

OKAY so..... As the few post that we have on here with the rattle in the a-pillar on the driver side.... Some have found that it is the windshield fluid hose rattling on the hood hinge some have found that there is the hood hinge not tight and hood rattles a bit. Some found that if you back out the hinge bolt stuff hinge and bolt with grease it fixes it. NOW there is supposedly a TSB out that addresses the actual a-pillar. When i pick up the durango tonight ill provide the number for reference unless someone beats me to it but hope this helps people that have unresolved rattle issues.

I fixed the washer hose rattle by zip tying the hose to the hood hinge, but have not scheduled service yet to have the dealer perform the hood alignment TSB. Over the past several weeks my D has developed a squeak which I believe is in the drivers side A pillar. I am interested in the TSB as well.

I was told that there is a kit they are ordering that has some screws or something? Kind of unclear right now and the paperwork doesn't denote the TSB so ill see what i can do to get it.

All,

Below is a copy of the TSB related to this issue.

NUMBER: 23-022-12
GROUP: Body
DATE: August 29, 2012

SUBJECT:
Knocking Sound From Instrument Panel Area Near The A-Pillar
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves adjusting the driver side hood hinge and if necessary replacing the
hinge pivot bolt.
MODELS:
2011 - 2012 (WD) Durango
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience a knocking sound from the instrument panel area near the
A-pillar.
DIAGNOSIS:
An audible buzz, squeak, or rattle (BSR) or knocking sound may appear to be coming from
the instrument panel (I/P) area at or near the front leading edge of the A-pillar. The noise
may actually be caused by an improperly adjusted hood hinge. The hood hinge can be
checked in the closed position by grasping the hood near the rear corners at the hinge and
lifting up and down. If excessive motion and/or a knocking sound is produced or the
customer describes the symptom, perform the Repair Procedure.

I had a sqeek coming from my a pillar area since we bought our D. I finally figured out what it was. When you open your door you have that round vent on the side of your dash. The rubber piece on that was causing a sqeek whenever you would hit any bumps going down the road. I had to put some 3m dry silicone spray on it. Once I put that on the sqeek went away. Now the only noise I have left to fix is coming from the steering wheel when you turn left and right really fast.
