Getting terrible gas mileage with Hemi AWD

i think the stock tune programming shifts aroumd 2/3k RPM's anyway hahaaa!!
id like the tranny to start back from 1st gear automatically
when i come to a stop when driving in manual/auto stick
mode, like my 2010 maxima does...
i dont want to manually drop it back down to 1st,
id prefer to just
upshift, not both...maybe diablosport can add that to the trinity...or dodge gives us a programming update with
that option!

I regularly get 11-12mpg city driving. Just drove from L.A. to Fresno and back (450mi) which was 98% freeway and averaged 20.2mpg. Bought it for family hauling (3 teens plus 2 adults) and can't complain! This is definatley not a daily commuter car... which is why we have a Corolla for that.

I heard about that, thought it was on the Focus though. It didnt make sense to me because I'm more concerned with limiting how fast they get to speed, not neceserraly limiting the top speed (Cops do that pretty well around here). If all I could do was limit it to 70mph my Wife and Daughter would still see how fast they could get to 70 at every stop! By limiting it to 2K rpm's they could still do the speed limit easily (I think it does 85+ at 2k in 6th gear), but they would have to get to speed at a reasonable pace because they would not be able to red line it.

Yes, I'm joking.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips to save mpg's.
Thanks

I am just curious to see what everyone is averaging with their v8 hemi all wheel drive Durangos. I have been averaging around 12 miles per gallon with mostly city driving. That is with hand calculation. I am definitely a little disappointed with that. I know it varies depending on driving style. I definitely do not drive aggressively.
