Rear tail light out already!!!! How am I supposed to replace it?
Ok, excusing the fact that my 2012 has a tail light that is out ALREADY, when you look in the manual to figure out how to replace it, the instructions are not that good. I went out this morning and tried to pull the panel off of the rear door (because you can only replace the bulb from the inside) and that panel felt like it was welded on. I didn't want to pull it too hard because I was afraid that in the cold, something would break. Anyone have any experience replacing their rear tail lights on the lift gate?
I hope you mean the brake/tail/turns and not the inboard parking lamp bulbs.
Been there, done that with the micro bulbs on the inboard tail lamps.
Separate the hatch trim panel from the liftgate with a trim tool and brute force.
Look inside and you can see the back of one of the 2 bulbs, the 2nd one is actually behind/inside of the metal structure of the liftgate.
I wanted to shoot the designer that thought that was a good placement.
Even if you remove the entire trim panel you still have to wriggle to get your hand back there and quarter turn the bulb to remove it at an angle.
Good luck.

Right. Definitely need gloves. I think tomorrow should be in the 40s here, may can sneak and do it.
I have to go to autozone and get a trim removal kit.
I looked in the manual, and the brake/tail light bulb is a 3057. You would think that in the computer age, information would be more readily available for these stores.
