Question What fog lights is everybody running?

Are there any aftermarket bulbs for these trucks that don't have to be modified to fit? Any that I don't have to shave the tabs down on? I currently have some LED foglights that look really nice, but of course the tabs had to be shaved off for them to fit in the housing. Also, the polarity on them is reversed so I had to flip the plug around to get them to work. The problem with this is there is no locking tab on the other side of the bulb, so the connector wiggles loose after a week or so causing the bulbs to not work until I wiggle it back securely. This is the third set of "H16/5202" bulbs I tried and they all require some annoying mod. Anyone have any that just plugged in and worked out the box?

I put these in my 11 Crew and took about 10min.

And for headlights it took 10 mins too.

The picture shows both lights installed.

I've got the halo fog lights, (without the halo wired because they weren't visible), with H3, 55w sylvania Zxe bulbs. The good thing about the halo fog lights is that the housing is metal and glass, and fit inside the factory "can". They are extremely bright. I also picked up a a pair of 100W H3s for future use.

I modded these in - spliced them right into the factory wires, because I didn't want to go the route of the halo install, having a separate switch that needed to go through the firewall.

Fog lights are placed down low and have a certain wattage for a reason. This is probably the best explanation I have seen for the proper use of fog lights. What they don't mention is that there is generally an area just above the pavement where there is little or no fog. The fog lights kinda shine under the fog layer. Yellow is better as it reflects less white light back towards the driver. So consider your responsibilities to yourself, your family, and others before you light the front of your truck up and exacerbate the problem that you're trying to overcome. http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...fog_lamps.html
