Default Help 730N No volume or volume gauge!

I am driving this morning listening to SAT radio and all of a sudden the volume starts to cut out, figuring it is SAT radio and reception interference pay no mind. Then it completely goes off, now I have no volume for ANY radio or nav operations and the volume gauge is not appearing on the screen. The steering wheel control for volume doesn't work either. Did I hit a magic mute button?

Here is a vid I found on youtube with the same problem. This is not my vid.

Mine does this occasionally, it will resume volume when I turn it off and then back on. Usually only notice this on start up, after I have left the radio on while shutting the engine down.

I have the same problem...only remedy I've found is turning the radio off and on again and audio is restored. It's a bizarre issue

I would love to know where the mute button is also. Let me know when you get a answer.

I have had this happen to me maybe every 20 times I start the car. all I do is click the volume button and it turns the radio off, and click again and turns radio on, and everything is fixed.

Obviously a software issue.
Like rebooting a computer
