So I have been doing some homework for my next Mod. I am looking at getting an aftermarket Throttle Body for my DD.

So here are the ones I found so far:

1. Modern Muscle 85mm 379.00
2. Fastman 85mm 317.00
3. Speedlogix 87mm 399.00
4. BBK 85mm 439.00(BBK says they do not have a TB for the DD)

All promise gains in throttle response and some promote gains of up to 10 horse power and torque. I have seen several guys on here that have done this mod already and hope they chime in.

 

Saw the Modern Muscle ones at Carlisle they look Cool I will more than likely get a fastman because I trust Dan

Fastman from what ive read!

 

I have a bbk that I pulled off my charger. I put it on the Durango, just to see if it would make a difference, but can't tell any difference over stock.

 

Won't make a single gain whatsoever. Some have even experienced annoying DTCs from tossing on a "bigger" (I use that lightly since most ported ones still use the OEM sized butterfly) throttle body that only went away with a custom tune. And we all know no custom tunes with those Hypercraps.

yes...just a larger bore or tapered TB will not improve anything. It must be combined with other mods.

 

Hence the reason I have not gone forward yet...

 

Ok, maybe Ill just save the 400 bucks and put it towards something else....ha
