Thumbs up The famous drivers side rattle behind dash..finally fixed

So I asked my local dealer about the rattle issue at speeds above 30mph. They told me there was a TSB (Service Bulletin) regarding an adapter that needs to be put in under the hood. Not sure if this was previously posted by anyone but ever since this repair it has been gone. For anyone still dealing with this issue contact your dealer and explain the situation. If they play dumb tell them there is a TSB regarding the problem.

the TSB was posted in your Kumho tires thread I believe

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/showthr...=355430&page=2

went in for mine last week...tech drove and said he couldnt reproduce rattle! I showed him how when you pull up on the drivers side hood corner near windshield its loose and the sound it makes - now he's happy lol

he tightened the bolts & I haven't heard a peep since but they ordered the parts anyway and installing this weekend..

link to TSB pdf: (I printed and brought with me)
http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_2302212a.pdf

Also the TSB says vehicles built until a certain date but clearly the issue goes beyond that date as mine was built months later and still had the issue..

Darn, the hood bolt replacement was done on mine and didnt fix it, so I was hoping this was a different TSB since he mentioned an "adapter" of some sort.

they tried the same thing with me telling me they couldn't find it. I took him out and told him I don't know how he couldn't hear it cuz 50ft out of the driveway it started right up and was like see right there. so they kept the truck for awhile and he called and said he couldn't find what was doing it. I told him I've done lots of research and I'm telling you its something to do with the hood hinge. He tried arguing still!!!! finally I got pissed at him and he all of a sudden goes oh right there I found it on the bulletin. So don't let them push you around. Mine hasn't made a noise since

HI,
I have the same issue with my 2015 Durango SXT. Does this bulletin cover my issue? The sound has been bothering me lately and I need a resolution.
Please advise.

Thank you.
