Steve is right, I forgot that the computer on the 14 doesn't let the cylinder deactivation work until after 300 miles. The 13 may be the same

No deactivation for a little while but delayed engagement during this period for sure.
I saw 15-16 mpg when my D was new on the Highway now I see 19-21.

As an outsider looking to buy the Dodge Durango I think the gas mileage is pretty dang good. I have a van which is averaging like 13 mpg right now and closer to 19 in the summer so considering how big the durango is and how much is can tow getting even 16 in the winter is great and if it can get close to 22-24 on the highway I will be very happy!

Unhappy Mileage update

Thanks for chiming in guys! I appreciate it. I should have added that we bought it used. 6,900 miles now 7,500. Havent seen the ECO light come on yet, stupid gas cap light is on and now its caused the check engine light to come on so my remote start wont work. I did the key dance and got no codes, just ----- then DONE. Why would the light be on with no codes? I'm taking it to my local Dodge dealer but they suck so bad here I'm almost scared for them to look at it. This is not what I had in mind 2 days after purchasing a new car!

The light not coming on doesnt mean its not working
The indicator can be turned on and off in the EVIC Menu.
The gas cap light is usually a seperate indicator only it usually doesnt bring on check engine any longer.
I am not sure if key trick works on these later models as well
Try resetting PCM by disconnecting Negative battery terminal under hood wait a minute and reattach see if it clears

You should be well past the break in then. I agree, disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and see if the system resets itself, otherwise you should take it in.

Default No help

Pulled the "loose or missing gas cap" code. Tried to take it in. Thanks to the oil boom here they are so far behind they arent accepting any cars period until May 27th! Can you believe that?! Went to the only 2 dealerships within 150 miles. Went ahead and bought a new gas cap. It seemed to fit tighter and didnt rattle like the OEM did. Guess we'll see if it ever goes off.
