My 1,400 mile, 2 week old 2014 R/T gas mileage report
35 mph and under........sucks but should be expected for a 360hp v8
35-65 mph....the cylinder deactivation lets the R/T achieve averages as high as 25 mpg
65-85 mph.....you lose 4 or more mpg and average 20 mpg (advertised 23 does not happen past 65 mph)
1,400 miles driven, 80% cruise control highway, 5% light to light city, 15% stop and go freeway rush hour type traffic in Houston
18.8 mpg average on computer. BUT doing the math by hand and dividing miles by gallons I calculate around 18.....
Disclaimer: I have really been "enjoying" the Hemi and sound of the exhaust (you won't want this R/T when I trade it in lol.......

I've run nothing but 89 octane through it so far. I hate spending the bucks when that tempting 87 octane button is right next to it for less......

Down south there are not winter blends of gas, in northern climates there is more oxygenation to the gas during colder months which lowers gas mileage ratings noticeably.
Cars also run themselves a bit richer on warm up in colder areas, hence using more fuel as well
