had my first No Start this morning (TIPM)
excellent. I admit to being a little jealous. no parts available in my area yet. at least not that anyone is willing to tell me.

the byapss is working good though.
I got another one yesterday...pfft, I can't make heads or tails of the logic. One day there are none to be had, next day one hits the door.

I was told by my dealer that no parts were available and there is/was no ETA. Pre-emptively, I ordered the relay kit on Amazon, using the StarCase that has been published here.
As of last Friday, my 2011 became stranded in my garage. It had been acting up since the weather turned colder, so the wife and I kept parking it nose first into the garage so when it finally quit, I could work on it.
I just completed the procedure and wouldn't you know, she fired right up! I would guess the skill level is about a 6/10 depending on your comfort with tight quarters, dozens of wires, and cutting some pretty important factory wiring out of the harness.
Chrysler gives the procedure 1.0 hour - I took about 3 hours. I went slow and deliberately through the procedure before and during each step. I also kept my multimeter handy to verify continuity at every splice before continuing.
I just couldn't see having my DD towed out of my garage to my servicing dealer (17 miles) just for it to sit because there are no parts. I paid good money for this vehicle and I plan on keeping it for the long haul so ~$60 out of pocket was worth it to me.

coldsteel, I totally applaud you for taking the initiative and fixing the D. way to go. I was heading down that path until I found Jason's (at Vertical Visions) plug in bypass.
for anyone that does not want to cut into their D's wiring harness but needs this fixed, NOW, I can't say enough good about the $26 plug and play bypass that Jason sent me.
but if I hadn't found Jason's bypass I'd be doing exactly what you did. I looked up the Star Case pdf and went searching online for the relay. its amazing how common it is and easy to find on the internet. I had one in my cart, ready to pull the trigger when I came across Jason's plug in solution.
I even called the Service Mgr at my local Dodge dealer, whom I find to be a pretty good guy so far, and said 'look, I'll bring in the part, just fix it.' but I posted that story earlier in the thread.
good for you coldsteel. I hope your D starts like a champ from now on.
had my TIPM bypass done on the recall today. the dealer took care of the P54 recall along with the Brake Booster and the Visor wiring fix. took about 2.5 hours altogether. everything seems to be working; no issues with fogs or anything else I notice.
the recall fix is the same basic external relay and fuse holder installed outside the fuse/relay box and mounted on a clip near the front of the engine bay.
I did notice a couple electronic things had been 'reset'. I had my red glow trim rings around the speedo and tach turned off and they were turned back on and my 430N has a new splash screen that I swear wasn't there before. but no big deal.
