In the event anyone is still interested, my wife brought the Durango into the dealer yesterday at 9:00 am for service. The service manager sat in the vehicle and asked her what was wrong despite the fact that CEL was clearly on, which was not exactly confidence inspiring. However, after she pointed out the CEL to him he hooked up the vehicle and determined that it was a faulty intake air temp switch sensor. He then told her to call back at 3:00 pm. However, just before 11:00 am she received a telephone call from the dealership advising that the sensor's connector was simply loose and once reattached the problem was corrected She then picked up the Durango and we have not had an issue since. I'll drive it a bit this weekend and let everyone know how it goes. Hopefully, this is the end of it.
