'18 Durango RT
New member here from northeast US. Just took delivery of an '18 Durango RT on Wednesday. Truck is granite crystal metallic clearcoat with the following packages: Blacktop, tow, hand molded dash, and 2nd-row captain's chairs. (I will post pics shortly.) Unfortunately, 65 miles in the check engine light went on and it's currently sitting in my driveway waiting to get looked at by the dealer's service department this week. Anyone else ever experience anything like this? I haven't (at least not this early in the car ownership experience.) I'll let everyone know what happens on Wednesday when I bring it in.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Durango! However, this is not the experience that we want our Dodge owners to have. Please message us with your VIN and mileage so that we can document this further on your behalf and see how we can assist.

Perhaps but I have never touched it (this model has a cap-less tank BTW). When I drove it off the lot it had a full tank of gas and 11 miles on it. I was at 65 miles when the engine light came on and still had almost a full tank of gas. At this point I don't think I need to be figuring out what the code is and so forth. On an older vehicle - sure - I would do the leg work - but a brand new vehicle? If nothing else, I want to document the issue with the dealer and FCA. I hope the gas tank isn't that finicky because this will be become pretty annoying pretty quickly.

No problem. I like to know myself so the dealer can’t pull a fast one on me. It takes me all of 5 minutes to hook up my scanner and get the code. But I get where your coming from. I was only responding to the fact it sounded like your new vehicle was dead in the driveway because you were afraid to drive it with the CEL on.
