Exclamation 2015 Durango R/T - new owner

Hi all just bought my wife a nice black R/T fully loaded. Been looking for a year finally found one 100% loaded out. I am trying to put HID in the fogs and came across the problem of them shutting off when the truck is started. I read that a relay is needed. I see the battery is inside in truck, wasnt aware of that. Is there any place under the hood to get power to relay? i dont see it being worth running a wire all the way from the battery. If not maybe a good set of LEDs is better? Thanks!

I think LED's might be a better plan..... the housing aren't really designed for HID.... they may melt......

Fogs should be on with the low beams only. If they aren't, (and they should be...) need to find out why.

hids work but when you start it up they go off, i read others with same issue. Fogs come on with parking lights as well.

There are battery + and - posts on the passenger side fender under the hood. Also, You should be able to find a wiring diagram showing the battery + wire going to the underhood fuse box a.k.a., by its fancy name, TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module). On the other hand, you may be able to get LED's with built in adapters that just plug in into the existing bulb sockets.

there should be a positive post under the hood near the fuse box.
