The only sound difference I notice with my headers was louder hemi tick, and mechanical noises from the engine compartment. It changed the tone of sound coming from the tail pipes. My truck is loud inside when I tow with it but I didnt notice it get louder when I did the headers.

Just asking because I honestly want to know, is this true? I am about to pick up some shorty's pretty cheap and like the fact I don't have to modify exhaust system, worry about inspection (truck has 18 years left already have dual exhaust and 14x3 intake but if it isn't going to serve a purpose I don't want to waste my time and money?????????????

You will see a gain from shorty's over the stock manifolds but not as much as you would see from LT's.

Yes, better than stock mani's, but longtubes are all around better and more gains all together.

Finally pulled the trigger on the exhaust today. JBA Stainless Headers, and Stainless MagnaFlow from there back. $830 shipped, should all be here by next week.

No, you should be able to bolt them up without any welding.
