Gears
Is your truck an auto or stick b/c the o/d ratio will effect the rpm you're running at highway speed? If it's an auto then 4.56's are as far as I'd go w/ 33's unless you almost never take it on the highway. Cost can vary, minimum for gears $180, master install kit $100, labor $3-400. The key is to make sure the shop knows what they're doing and have done a lot of dodge 9.25 rear ends.
It is very responsive from idle and once you get past the high rpms, is very nice on the highway. I am still leery of getting on it now with the replacement drive shaft. That was a scary incident and could of been much worse. Still jolted about it all.
Anyway she is back at home and now i can look under and see what needs to be replaced, which right now is full piping and muffler from the ORY back.
The 4.10's worked for my old set up but i need to recover as much low end as i can in addition to getting into the power band fast as possible. The shift recovery from the 3400 stall will keep it there.

Man it sure is a wake-a-upper thats for sure.
Gonna invest in moes driveshaft loop very soon. The 88's should give me a lot of play in trying out different tire sizes so i can work in still trapping at the top of 3rd. Right now for the street i may just run 18" in the rear on Nitto DR's. Keep my current 17's on the front. Once the 3400 stall is in then it is time to get the tuning done then tweak the suspension and then weight transfer. I would love to run 20" rims one day.
I wont be upgrading my heads for a LONG time.
I have also thought of just keeping it a street truck only and not worry about the track. Just drive it and enjoy it.

I hope you keep it a street truck. IMO, a racer is just a racer. But a modified street ride is so much more classy. After all a dedicated racer is just a vehicle that's trying to be faster than a street car by removing all the creature comfort.
Nothing's kooler than a street racer rolling into the parking lot showing it's stuff.
