I reset to 31.75 and it seems to be correct now. Thanks 06RAM and Sil!

Since this is the superchips thread... I'm new to the board so hello everyone. I have an 04 Hemi with exhaust and a cai. I have been eyeing a programmer for some time but with some reservations. My truck is still covered under an extended warranty and don't want to interfere with that, so does a programmer do that? Is it as simple as plugging it in and downloading the 91 tune and then driving away meaning is it user friendly both in the truck and at your computer? Whats with all the alpha and beta testing talk? What does all that mean? Sorry for the newbie type questions but the 3865 is def what i want and just want to make the right decision for my truck and myself. Thanks.

Brad,

The 3865 will safely save your stock tune. You can then choose the tuning level of your choice. If you don't feel comfortable with advance tuning in the beginning, you can choose a quick tune and choose a tune that will load with Superchips settings. It's really very easy. Just follow the on screen prompts and you'll be perfectly fine.

Prior to taking your truck in for service, just tune it back to stock. This is just in case the dealer flashes your PCM with any factory upgrades. Then later you can safely re-tune again.

The alpha and beta testing your reading about is for the new transmission options that are coming. The current production file that you would be using is a very seasoned release and not a beta.

Folks,

I wanted to update all in regards to the transmission option testing.

PT throttle shift points are pretty much complete. Everything works fine there and except for some in house fine tuning, it looks real good. WOT TM and PT TM is functioning, but we still have some rounding issues there. We're very close in this latest pre-beta I tested this weekend. The engineers and programmer are really working these options diligently. They want the beta folks to have something they can really put to the test. Here's where, imo, Superchips shines.

It's not about being first with a product or option. They really care about making sure their product functions correctly. They care about their customers investments. This product is going to be polished up real nice. Through this process they've improved and tweaked program. I'm confident you all will find this transmission programming to be awesome! No one will match it. Some may *try* to clone it, but believe me that will definitely be a risky product to run.

What kind of time frame are we looking at until the beta testers get a shot to try this new tuning out?

They are testing a few of the 07-08's on the bench now. When they feel comfortable with the bench tests, they'll release to those folks.

Any idea of how long something like that takes until they feel comfortable?

Can't give you a definite, but I'm hoping soon. This last pre-beta is very close. A couple of rounding issues for PT TM and WOT TM. The difference this time was very small, so I'm sure they'll get it pinned down. The great thing about this process is, when they get to your year Jason they will understand things more clearly and bang out those years a little quicker. Having said that, they could always hit a wall they need to address. When it's released you'll be pleased because, it won't be a test your valuable transmission release.

Ok folks, we're within fractions of having the WOT/PT TM nailed down. Today's latest pre-beta was the best to date. There are just two PT TM RPM ranges and one WOT TM shift that need to be adjusted. You'll be able to ZERO out TM across the board. We're getting closer to a well done product for the 07-08 years. The 04-05 years are going through bench testing.

I can't stress enough how exact they've been during this process. This is going to be a fine tuned release.

Waiting is the most difficult part. I know. I want to keep you all in the loop.
