Agreed, the 08 4.7L has some strong figures and is a pleasure to drive tuned that's for sure.

It's definitely on my short list of vehicles I would like to own.

2008 4.7 severely de-tuned from factory.

hahaha now I'm loving my 08 4.7L more and more ! ! !
And I'd have to agree from stock to 87 performance tune, it gained QUITE a bit of pep and overall *****. Simply a matter of time until I can tweak with my shifts so that it performs more like a MT daily driver with some "fun" adjustments for WOT.

Speaking of which I made sure it wasn't an 09 Hemi (Obvious body differences) and it was an 06 because after I had pulled away from him in our little light to light race, he caught up and asked what my engine was seeing I didn't have any Hemi emblems. I replied, "It's the 4.7L with the Superchips tuner and a few other things " And he laughed in disbelief and speed off when it turned green . I knew from there it was an 06 since it had the bug eye headlights but no missile taillights.

Overall that made me happy . But I have to be very touchy with my throttle when reaching WOT because of my stock tires (265/70r17's) and 4.56 gears , I simply loose traction 'easily' .

Sounds like us 3rd gen hemi guys are going to have to do some serious mods to keep up with the SC tuned new 4.7's. That is a serious gain of power that SC is pulling out of those engines.
