i bought a used 3865 and it says the tranny upgrade is there but it doesn't work? do i have to buy it for it to work? and with the tranny stuff is there a way to adjust the shifting points? i hate when going on the freeway and the rpms are so low and in order to speed up it feels like you have to push the pedal down a lot to to gain speed. thanks everyone!

I am waiting on my flexalite 183 to come in. Once installed i plan on putting the vivid back to 91 oct. tune. should i leave the fan controller on the tuner set at the 91 values for the fan?

I believe that most aftermarket fan kits come with or offer a manual controller and probe that allow you to independently adjust turns on and off by temperature because they are a universal application that will fit a number of vehicle applications.
So unless you have found a way to adapt your aftermarket fan to the original wiring harness, etc... you won't be able to use the programmer to control it. So i would just put it back to a stock value like we discussed earlier.

Hey Scott, Ive got a question for you.
Im running my 08 5.7 1500 MDS on the 91 oct tune 91 oct fuel.
It almost seems that when i want to coast to a red light or stop sign, the engine tries to keep the truck moving, it doesnt seem to want to "0" the throttle to coast, mainly noticed b/c the rpms dont drop, exhaust tone stays the same, and speed doesnt drop as quickly as it should?
It doesnt seem to be a problem per say, im just wondering what the programing is doing while trying to coast.
thanks

Ya 91 isnt cheap for me right now. Im just doing some trials with 91 oct to see if it really makes a different.
91 oct is about 1.26 per litre up north = 4.76 a gal

You're paying more than me. Ouch. I'm paying about $4.21/gallon for 91 octane. 87 is $4/gallon.
