Wow, this was a long read. The only reason I got the DSP is so I can have them write a custom tune to eliminate the TCM signal so I can scrap the auto trans and run a stick. I definatly noticed that the PCM learns the tunes. When I first installed the 93 tune, I got on it and it was impressive, now (after about a day of running around) if I stomp on the throttle from a stop, I spin up all the way across the intersection.

BTW, has anyone had an issue of knock, rich or lean, or anything with just a modified intake (MIT tube and K&N drop in) and cat back? Wondering if it compensates enough for this or if I should do the data logging. It seems simple enough to log and adjust but I would like a little more indepth learning before I adjust anything major, but I know I shouldn't run the truck if it is misadjusted.

Do some data logging before you adjust anything. Adding a catback, drop in filter and MIT tube should not lean you out that much to cause knock. Also you will want to pick up a wideband as well so you dont add to much and start running to rich.

I had every intention to, was just trying to get a feel if it might not even be neccesary. I didn't think so, but then thinking it couldn't hurt to log 1) to get an idea how to do it and learn what I am seeing, 2) see if anything is wrong. My plan for this thing (and the whole reason I got the DSP is solely to scrap the auto trans so I can run a stick. More might come later but that will be after I figure out emissions.

I have been running the 9t06d as I posted earlier, and did not see the throttle advance option. I will have to try the regular 06. Hopefully they fixed the data logging issues that we were having with the 05. I'll post if there are issues with it. Thanks for the update, I haven't been over there in a while to check for updates.
