ok. 2500 with 3.73s, that is a heavy truck for those gears. The hemi has much better mid range power than low end. You best bet to get rid of the bog (and probably them most expensive, sorry) is to go with 4.56 gears. That would help out a ton IMO

If the bog is with the shift, the 4.56's wont help with it, it will just happen at a higher rpm range, it wil make a difference but the bog will still be there. I still get that bog with all the crap I have done to mine. It reallly sounds like it is the 2nd prime or overdrive gear that its going into before it hits.

Another thing is, when you hit it, its the fly by wire setup that gives you a lag as well.

Hey guys. I just got a DSP for my truck. It seems a little faster, i notice it shifts harder and little things. But how do you do all these little changes to it that your talkin about? Ive been kinda scared to mess with anything.

You can go through the settings and make changes as you want. Just do not play with fuel trims or timing. You may like the option to increase throttle sensitivity.

What do you think about geting custom tunes? Or do the changes that can be made on there just as good?

Custom tunes are those needed for running cams with tight LSA at 113 or less or other wild applications like blowers, ect.

Normally a person running a mild cam like a 260 or a 6.1 or maybe even a Sidewinder would not get a custom tune as a canned tune would suffice.

A custom tune specifically for your truck is better than the canned tunes that come on the programmer any day of the week. Normally you would not need one but I would go as far as if you have done all the bolt ons a custom tune will do you good. I had one for my truck to get it to run a little better before my cam was installed and I have to say that my truck ran much nicer than it did with the canned tune. But now with my cam I have to have a custom tune
