the 0-40 is pretty slow but I'll try to get some more runs in tomorrow morning when I head down to my uncles shop to do some more work on the truck. Hopefully there wont be any traffic. No idea where I'll be able to pull off a 1/4 mile time around here without going to jail but I'll look around and see what I can do.

Yeah, I have the stock spring thing in the back of my mind when I start turning it up. I did a couple 6.35's this afternoon. But I'm launching so damn soft that it seems am simply driving away from a light. I need to get hooked up and really punch into that converter, then the times will start looking better. And of course putting the roll pan on is going to make it worse. Don't know, but it'll come together....

The single thing that made my launches better and gave me less wheel spin was swapping to a wider tire. There was no way in hell the 275/55/20's would hold my truck to the ground, I would spin them constantly, swapping to the wider tire though has helped tremendously with wheel spin.

Why don't you guys just run a MT drag radial on the back all the time. I do on my mustang and its is more than okay in the rain and its not like they wear out super crazy as long as you keep them at a street pressure.

Late at night on a deserted highway is about the only option, but even then it is not always a safe bet. I agree with Red and say stick to the 0-60 times.

I'm pulling the bumper and losing the spare tire which is not going to help traction. maybe add some ballast and work on my technique. I saw on auto week where a new mustang was doing 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds. Now that is quick...
