I found the invoice, here it is.

I was focusing on the gear setup and actually added the converter as an after thought not realizing there was more than the two variations. Street/strip.

This is the pitch from Edge that describes the two converters.

The Mild Street Edge is used in applications with up to 450 HP and is limited to 2400-2600 rpm of true stall. A good choice for the performance minded daily or weekend driver and is not designed as a all out race converter. A torque converter built efficient enough to drive in the city without adding unwanted heat. Impeller and turbine are furnace brazed. The lock up is upgraded to the latest "high carbon" friction. Hardened input splines, computer balancing and custom configuration. These are only a few of the things that place our "Mild Street Edge" series high-stall torque converter in a class by itself

The Racing Street Edge is used in applications with up to 600+ HP and is limited to 2800-3000 rpm of true stall. A good choice for the performance minded daily driver, or weekend racer. A torque converter built efficient enough to drive in the city without adding unwanted heat. Impeller and turbine are furnace brazed. The lock up is upgraded to the latest "high carbon" friction. Hardened input splines, computer balancing and custom configuration. The O.E. stator is upgraded (replaced), and the cover is upgraded to billet steel.

You would think there would have to be some difference beyond just the price. What makes one rated for more hp than the other when the descriptions are exactly the same?

From what I can tell this is different, "The O.E. stator is upgraded (replaced), and the cover is upgraded to billet steel". Which makes sense for the higher output.

I have an appointment for the install Monday mornining. We will see. I am excited about this mod as I think it will prove to be an improvement.

Ok, that new info you added makes more sense now. Before the two descriptions said almost exactly the same thing.

Any plans to beef up your trans cooling when you install the converter?
