Well........figured I'd try this too. Used 8AWG and went to the driverside ground as it is closer to the neg battery terminal. If it did improve throttle response it's minimal. Still idles steady at 600, and shifts about the same.

Can you buy the wire with the ends on them or do you have to get it all separately?

I didn't have anything laying around for this mod, so everything was bought separately. Bought the 8 gauge amp wire from Walmart. Had to go to Menards to get the ring terminals, heat shrink, and a cheap pliers big enough to crimp the terminals.

Yeah, I just happened to have a 36" 4 AWG I use for connecting batteries to run a 24v trolling motor, pre-terminated. You can get a pre-terminated battery cable at any auto parts store for $4-6, do the Wally World thing or just make one up.

I had all kinds of wire for lights around, but nothing thicker than 16 gauge. 16 AWG would do it, but I was more afraid of working under the hood and catching it on something and snapping the wire or pulling out an end. If I had say 10 gauge I would have just made one up...

And is there a certain size ring terminal or are they all the same? Or do I just have to eyeball it

The ring terminal size is going to depend on what size wire you are using, and the diameter of the bolt you are going to attach it to. I used 6AWG 1/4" Stud, tin plated copper terminals on my 8AWG wire. I still had to drill out the hole bigger for the ground bolt on the body to fit through.

Ok just did this using a 40" 4AWG wire from Advanced and I got to test it out when I went back there to go get a bigger air filter since I decided to replace my cheap Spectre one while i was under the hood and it could be a placebo effect but I did notice slightly better throttle response especially going into WOT. There was a lot less lag
