Ok, fine. But what the heck does that have to do with torque or hp? Nothing.

Yeah, that's what happened. It just sort of bogs down now. There's no way I'm putting cats back on my truck, I hate those things. And they aren't required where I live. So I'll probably just put a more restrictive muffler on to create more backpressure.

It dosent just work like that you cant just create your own back pressure the truck came with a certain amount and you took that away. The reason you are losing all the power is because your o2 sensors have no clue whats going on, you have to trick the computer with a custom tune to completly bypass your o2 sensors if not you will never have a smooth running truck, id hate to see your MPG.
And for the bog down that goes back to the o2 sensors.... with no cat to change the chemical balance in the "Exhaust Gas" your post cat o2 sensor has no true reading there for making you run lean/rich either way its like a 3 legged dog racing a thoroughbred.

Did you even read what I wrote!? MOPAR cats are actually equal to aftermarket high flow cats so why would you not want them? I don't understand why everyone doesn't like cats.

Its because most Cats are restrictive, You make a great point 08 HEMI the cats Mopar provided are some of the highest flow Cats that come stock. Just live with them, they dont take away that much but when you remove them they take away even more power

Cats are there to remove carbon emissions from your exhaust. I'm not required to have them therefore I don't want them. I don't agree that cats effect whether or not your truck runs lean or rich.
