Default UPDATE!!! INSTALLED MY CAI ***PICS***

my CAI got delivered to my old adress on tuesday. good thing i went to check today. well, i was following the ebay cai thread in the v6 section since i have an ebay cai. i took out my air box and that big black box on top of my motor that says 5.7L HEMI V8 or whatever. yeah. so then i connected my pipes and my blue tube (as the pictures show). now, since this is the HEMI and not the v6, i noticed a difference of the air hose. im assuming that the HEMI one is the one going IN FRONT of the motor, right? the black tube shown in this pic:

it came w/ two pipes, correct? maybe you switched them around, and the "bung" that you plug that sensor into is on the other piece? that is, the one that you have the cone strapped to?

that sensor needs to be installed into the pipe. There should be a hole with a rubber grommet in it for the sensor to pop into. Check to see if the pipes are switched around like smash suggested.

ok, (ill do it when i get home) so i should switch the pipes around and make sure that the pipe with the cone has a rubber thing to stick my sensor into it? i think the switching of the pipes makes sense because of my air tube. i bent it around. maybe it is supposed to go straight. thanks for the tips so far. keep em coming. and does anyone have any detailed pics of their intake that they can share please? thatd be very much appreciated. thank you.

This is my eBay intake... The air sensor is held into place by a rubber grommet. The one that came with my intake wasn't quite right, and I had a hard time getting the sensor to fit snugly into place, so I went to Lowe's and found one that worked... You're tubes are hooked up correctly as far as I can tell, it just looks like you might have lost the black rubber grommet that went into the hole where the sensor is supposed to go...
