update its finally cooled off a bit and I've been runing without the a/c the last few days. My average mpg combination driving 35 miles per day is right at 15 mpg with the air off.

mopar cai installed today...mopar says 10 hp increase. this was a nice kit and easy to install. sounds like an old q-jet when you kick it. if it improves mpg I will post few weeks.

2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad-Cab 4x4, 5.7ltr Hemi, 20"x9" cast aluminum wheels, P275/60/R20 tires, 3.92 gears.. No mod's yet..

I average in the 15's, city/highway combined, according to that trip computer doo-dad in the overhead console.. I'm not going to get a measuring cup, turkey baster and/or calculator to check how accurate it is because, in all honesty, it doesn't matter to me what the "actual mpg" is.. I could be getting 9mpg and still be extremely satisfied with my purchase. [sm=Awwww.gif]

I installed a Mopar CAI including the throttle spacer late Saturday night. I felt uneasy about taking parts off my new $42K Laramie but the dealer gave me the kit because the truck took so long to arrive. I now have about 3500 miles on it so I decided to install it. It looks really neat but I can't say that I feel more power but honest to God...my combination MPG went from 14.5 average to 15.4 over the last couple of days. It's like someone flipped a switch.

Will provide highway mpg info. ASAP

I have a 2003 Quad with the 5.9. The only modifications I have made are a K&N airfilter, Superchip programer, bed cover, and an open exhaust. unfourtunatly, I have a heavy foot, but usually get about 13.5mpg in the city and 16.5 on the highway. If I am towing my 30' TT it drops to just over 9mpg. Take your pick. I just ordered the volant cold air kit for my truck, any thoughts on that, will it help anymore?

One other quick question....what is the proper inflation for the 20's (275/55/R20)? Thanks in advance. I think the right front is low....truck is pulling that way ever so slightly.

You have a 2003 so you may or may not have the original tires.. The easiest thing to do would be to check the sidewalls for the PSI numbers.. It varies from each manufacturer.. Just remember.. Check and inflate the tires when they're cold..
