Don't forget the new truck Hemis will have the variable displacement like the 300M/Magnums (one benefit of the DaimlerBenz union). If you can keep the pedal light and cruise around, mileage should improve.

ORIGINAL: kachina_labala

beastieboys21, Um none. I made almost that exact trade. 99 grand 4.7 for an 03 hemi. I was about 14.5 on the grand and 11.5 on the Ram. Its a trade down in gas mileage. Sorry
Kachina ...

Alright, I was hoping to at least get close to 14, hopefully I can stay of the gas long enough to get between 12-14

Thanks

2006 RAM 1500 Quad Cab Sport Hemi 5.7L - 14.3 MPG in the city. Much better than my 2001 Durango @ 10.9 MPG.

I get 17.5 - 18 on the hiway with my 4.7 2004 quad cab 4wd, bout 14 in town. Pulling a 25 foot travel trailer or my 12 foot enclosed trailer it drops to single digits, 7-8. I always pull in the tow/haul mode, pretty hilly in northern Mi. and if I don't it is constantly shifting.
