Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
I have heard that about the old gen platinums, but a buddy of mine was a service manager at a Dodge dealer in Detroit (now has his own shop) and he told me the design of the Platinum 4 plug works much better than the single ground electrode types.
If they turn to crap, I'll put coppers back in. By the way... That job is a PITA!!! Changed plugs on too many cars and trucks to count, and I've never spent 2 hours doing it... Before this!

No skill at all, just the hassle of getting to the two rear plugs, still a plug socket, extension's and a ratchet, and thats after you get the coil packs out of the way, which is almost as bad as removing the plugs. A little patience and a couple of hours and it's a done deal, which is why I put the good platinums in mine, so I can run them 75,000 miles or more

Congratulations on the two hours. Thats pretty fast for a Hemi
Getting back to the purpose of this thread... Ive done some minor modding to my truck recently, cai, power wire, grounded tb. I used to get 16 to 16.5 mpg on the three hr trip up to my folks. Did it last night, got 18.5. It seemed like the truck ran at lower rpms on the highway than before, does that make sense to anyone whos done these mods?

No it doesnt, unless you ran taller tires or put a different rear gear in it, the rpm's will be the same. Those mods had nothing to do with cruising rpm
