Brand new 06 Ram 1500, 4.7L, 5 speed Auto, Regular Cab, 2WD, Short Bed, 850 miles on the odometer, currently getting 15mpg all highway driving at 65mph average.
According to all of the axle ratio charts, a 3.55 with 30" diameter tires, you should operate at 2600 RPM for best mileage at 65mph. I am trying to prove out that allegation.

Just made a trip for christmas. The 300 mile trip to and from gave me 23.3mpg on the highway, and I get around 16mpg in the city.

I get around 13 in the city and about 18 -19.5 on the highway. Thats going around 62-65mph with a 3.92
