I"ve watched this thread for a while and I've seen a lot of engine mods for improved MPG, but nothing else. I bought a tonneau cover and it seems to have made a noticable improvement in my highway mileage. I take a 600 mile trip each month and usually end up getting about 17.5 MPGoverall. With the cover, and drafting trucks when I can, I got 18.9 MPG on my last trip, and I was driving faster (avg. 75 vs 72) as well! That's about a 10% improvement! Considering it costs me $20 more to fill it up now than it did 6 weeks ago, anything helps.

'07 5.7L QC1500. I just put in my first tank since purchase and the math came out to 7.97 MPG. Mainly city driving. I'd say it's a bit shy of the EPA estimate of 14.

Wow storm you are getting some great gas mileage out of that Cummins.
I've heard so many people complain about the mileage in the new Cummins that there is now a reflash out to help thefuel mileage as most people average 16-17 on the highway, but alot of people never saw over 15mpg (my brother)Most of my buddies went with the Cummins and I went with the Duramax. My Duramax was the stingiest on fuel.

With that said I bought a 05 Dodge Hemi 1500 2WD and on the highway with cruise set on 70, the lying computer tells me 19.8mpg average. I'm thinking that either my speedo is off and that 70mph is really 60mph or my computer is lieing its *** off.

Ok were are all the older trucks 02-03 ??? They only came with a 4.7 or 5.9 and we all know the 5.9 sucks gas like crazy! I got the 4.7 and the truck runs well but I have yet to get a milage reading off it. Will soon and post up.
SO Where are all the older 4.7 guys at??? I am hopping for 16-17 mpg ave or am I off my rocker???

05 Ram Quad 5.7...................If i keep my foot out of it and set the programmer for MPG avg, I will get 17.2 to as high as 20.1 setting the cruz-control @ 68-69. I am running 91 Octane with my truck set up w/high performance on my tuner/programmer
