Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
My 2004 HEMI Quad Cab usually gets 12.5 mpg. Thats with about 70% city, 30% highway. I can do about 17.0 on highway, but I can't do 65 MPH consistently...I didn't buy a 345 HP truck to do 65 on the highway. I wish I could do better...but I did notice that after putting premium in my truck, I get about 1-1.5mpg difference. Plus with premium my truck doesn't sound like it hates me.
Before I left, my truck would get 15 mpg in mixed traffic, and 20mpg on the highway at 65mph. 4.7L flex, 5sp dogamatic trans, 2wd. 4K miles.
I did find something rather interesting in the improve your MPG category today. Take a look at this:
http://hydrogengarage.com/hydrogenboost.html They use several things to bump your mileage up. If it works as advertised, the kit would pay for itself in about 10K miles, or one year.
Here's another one: http://www.somender-singh.com/ Interesting reading.

2006 Ram 3500 4X4 quad cab long bed. Now at 13000 miles she's finally starting to break in and I'm seeing improvements in fuel mileage. 5.9 cummins of course, auto trans, 22 mpg last trip Hardin, MT to Craig, CO, mostly interstate 75mph with a load of furniture in the bed.
Newbie checking in. I drove my new (used) 05 to work today which is 45miles one way. Overhead gave me a 17.6 avg. Im pretty happy with that. Even with the raise in gas prices I still wanted another ram , so I picked up an 05 sport last weekend. I used to have an 97 ram clubcab slt with a 318. missed it after I traded for the wifes grand cherokee. with all the features that you get with a ram and the hemi I cant believe ford has the nerve to say there the number one selling truck. My fathers F150 has less features and cost more...
note. truck had a full tank 89 oct, weather rainy 40 degrees
