black will look good. Anything done to the inside of your headlight will be custom looking

Well I got home tonight from work and I couldn't wait, so I took the headlights off of the truck and brought them into the house to bake. I put them in at the temperature and time discussed in this thread, and they came apart like butter. It took me about 5 minutes take the headlights apart. I definitely thought it was going to be a lot harder than it was, it was a piece of cake! I put the first two coats of adhesion promoter on the bezels and am going to let them cure overnight in my garage. I will paint them tomorrow and have them reassembled and back on the truck.

I just thought I would give a little update on my progress for anyone thinking about doing this mod I don't know why you would wait any longer. The hardest part so far has been taping off the reflector for the parking lights/blinkers. Pics to come.

Here's a little teaser pic. I am letting them cure under a heat lamp for a few hours before I put them back together.

And here is the finished product. They came out pretty good. I scratched the passenger side one a tiny bit when I was putting it back together and I was pissed! But it's hardly noticeable. It is extremely hard to get them to go back together but I got most of the clips clipped at the expense of sore blistered hands but they are back together. It is probably nearly impossible to get them to seal perfectly but we will see with time how they do. Here are some pics, let me know what you think.

Next on the list is these wheels. I think I am going to do a little custom paint work to them. We will see.

Thanks a lot. It really changes the look of the whole truck. It definitely needs some help in the wheel department. I am going to try to paint them and see how I like it. If I don't like It I may have to buy some Soft 8's or something.
