I actually took the eyelids off the other day just to see how I liked it without them and the black headlights. I like it a little better, makes the truck look cleaner. Maybe if my truck wasn't sunburst orange they would look better..

I guess after some research I found they make fiberglass and vinyl pieces for this, I was thinking of just painting the top of the light...and was wondering how that may hold up

has anyone tried this on a 4th gen? i want to paint the inside of my headlights black but im curious too see how the headlight will come apart first and how it looks finished.

JJ has done this on a ton of 4th gens. He said its easier than the 06-08 ones

i might have to just go for it then, its cheap enough to do. my boss just did his on his new tundra and they look amazing. ill post pics if i suck it up and do it

Did I? LOL

Its hit or miss. Some 4th gen lights are a PITA. 3rd gens I only had an issue on my first one......then it was cake.

Durango4819 - the only duals I have done weren't painted, but these 4th gens look damn awesome with painted lights.
