Default New drilled and slotted rotors + ceramic pads

I just ordered new drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads to replace the crappy factory/warped ones. I have heard our trucks are pretty common to warp quickly with factory parts so I figured I would take a different route this time. I should be getting them in the next few days and installed by the weekend I hope! I am just wondering if anyone has made this upgrade and how it turned out over time. I only purchased them for the front for now because I wanted to test them out and I think my back ones are ok at the moment. I will be getting the back done real soon though. Give me your thoughts!

I got them from an Ebay seller for about $150 shipped (2 front rotors and 4 ceramic pads). You can get all 4 rotors and all ceramic pads for about $278 with free shipping. I probably should have gotten all 4 done at once but money is a little tight at the moment so I only got the fronts cause mine are terrible!

I will post my experiences and maybe some pics when its all said and done... Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

I definately need to go down this route pretty soon. My rotors are pretty warped in the front, prolly from all the rainstorms weve had. Breaking, then hitting all the water puddle. Bad news, lemme know how they work.

A few guys on here are running that combo. You will have to let us know how they work out for you. Also, let us know how long shipping takes.

i'm running that combo on all four wheels and i tell ya its freakin awesome, stops like and brand new truck,
one thing i did after i put them on was drive up to 35 mph and then apply them but DON'T STOP do that 2 more times then at 55 mph 3 times but DON'T stop then drive for 10 mins to cool them, thats what i was told to do to "burn in my rotors and pads" apperently it gets ride of that 400 mile soft break feeling that some guys have.

so one more time its

1. accelerate to 35 mph
2. apply brakes but dont stop
repeat 1&2 3 times

3. accelerate to 55mph
4. apply brakes dont stop
repeat 3&4 2 times

5. drive around for 5-10 mins to cool them down

worked for me
ps. make sure you lube the anti rattle clips

Just got mine on about 2 weeks ago. I got'em for $250 shipped, on Ebay. They seem better than what I had, but not exactly as good as I had hoped for. Also, I didn't really get the break-in down as good as I should've. The only parking lot I was close to when I did the job was my ol man's business lot. I only got the truck up to about 20mph before I ran outta realestate and had to slam on'em. I did it 4-5 times, but I still have a slight squeek/squeal when stopping. Really pisses me off.....

I did it in a parking lot cause it'd been my luck to try it on the street and get some kinda ticket. If you can, do it as close to the 'right' way as possible.

I have no vibration from my brakes, but when i changed a rear wheel seal yesterday i noticed that i will soon be doing a brake job on the back. The pads are getting fairly worn and so are the rotors. Whats the best pads for good brakes and very little brake dust? I have heard ceramic pads but can't find them here for my truck.
