HID's Installed (Heads/Fogs) Also **DYNO BONUS**
Yeah sounds about right john. I have a good idea then. Ill get some skinny rubber peices of some kind and put a few strips between the ballasts and the frame. Maybe that will help?
Hey, something else I just noticed. Why are my high beams the stock color? I thought the High and low beams would be 6000K? Even if the high beams aren't HID's, I'd still like them to be the same color.
Ill have to think about whether I need them or not. I mean, honestly I dont think ill ever use them, the HIDs for my lows and fogs provide more light than my highs ever would. Thanks, least I know I can get them now. That a 2/4 drop or 3/5? looks great!
Driving with my lows and fogs on is bright enough for me. I dont think ive used my highs more than 5 times in the last 8 months. As for the drop I couldnt tell you the exact number, it was on the truck when I bought it but thanks!
The distortion you (or anyone else for that matter) are getting from the HID's is ground loop feedback. If you isolate the ballasts (like with your rubber spacer idea) you should be fine. The high voltage of those ballasts (which is required for HID's) is inducing current in the frame, which is also your ground and causing the distortion with your radio.
(I guess it does pay to be a EE sometimes)
