I put mine on the dash for now, thinking either overhead mount or maybe in-dash even (heard thats pretty tough though). I doubt a CB whip would get stolen but who knows?

I have the k-30 antenna mag mount and also the k-40 but I use the k-30 since it's smaller and don't look as silly but anyways I run it under my floor mats and the seats to the rear slider window and it's mag mounted in the center of my roof. Works great there and no coax is showing or gives an issues with the rear window.

Depending on the brand antenna you can usually twist the antenna part off and throw it in the truck if your worried about people taking it.

How many of y'all out there are actually still using CBs?

When I was in my teen and early 20s in the mid-late '80s I would have NEVER thought I'd be without one, but to be honest, I think I've had a cassette deck more recently than I've had a CB in my truck.

I have an old 40 channel Realistic from Radio Shack in a box in storage (my only post 23 channel CB, anyone remember those days?). I may have to dig it out and mount it someplace...

I wired it out the back of the center console and through the sliding rear window..the antenna sits right above the middle rear window on top of the roof

I've got the Cobra 85, so it uses a remote box I mounted under the driver seat. Mic hangs on the dash, and I used a 3' firestik mounted on the 3rd brake light lightbar. Only time I use it though is when off road with a group. It works great for that, just doesn't get much use.

Hammer I had the same realistic on my 70 Olds Cutlass S back in 85. Yea and your right never thought I could live with out it. Right now I'm runnin a Cobra 18 st2 with an lil wil 2000 mounted on the driver side rear of the bed. I mounted the Cobra between the driver and mid seat. I used 2 small pieces of velcro to hold it in place.

Hammer, do you know if those overhead shelves block access to the overhead console?

I have no clue, just remembered seeing them online many times and thought of it when the OP posted the question...
