Default Moving to Arizona, need tip

I'm moving from Nebraska to Arizona in a few weeks for a new job, I'm wondering if anyone would have any tips or good mods to do considering the hot weather there. I have a silver '05 1500 4x4 with the hemi. I just traded up from my 01 Ram, and the new one is all stock except for the Borla exhaust that was already on the truck. Any tips and advice is appreciated,

Good quality Alarm and Steering Wheel Lock.
Tint with UV protection.
Steeling Wheel and Dash Cover.
Winshield Visor Covers.
180 t-stat

Also a Hitch, as this State has the worse tailgaters.

Absolutely, an alarm, tint, 180tstat and foot long hitch (as long as you can back it up without hitting someone)

1. Get an alarm system. Tons of cars get stolen and taken back to Mexico. Viper is the best brand.

2. Tint your windows. You will cook if you don't. I have 5% all around with a 50% on the windshield.

3. Get a Jimmy Jammer for your wheel as well.

4. Make sure you're air conditioning is good, maybe get it checked out.

5. Car cover. The heat here will mess up you're paint, either get it into a garage or cover it up.

I'm in tucson so if you need anything I can give you tips. Have a safe trip.

Thanks for all the advice, I do have the vent visors and a Viper alarm system (lucky me, don't have to pay for those) and I've set up an appointment next week for get all the windows tinted.

What would you guys recommend for a good dash cover? My grandpa has a CoverKing one in his pickup, but that's the only one I'm familiar with.

I'm going to be moving to Casa Grande, so sounds like I should be close to a couple of you guys, and I was wanting to wait a bit longer to move, but they need me for the job as soon as I can get there. It hit 102 here today, now I'm getting ready for the real heat. Thanks again
