I don't have a 5th wheel.. but I wish I had one haha, but I tow around my 20ft enclosed race trailer locally around town till I can find a decent looking ctd around here, then I will do some highway. but around the city I can get atleast 10-12 out of it. But I know superchips has a tow setting that really helps with towing. My friend even uses it on his f350 he uses to pull his 5th toy hauler.

Washington either isn't one of those states that allows tandem trailers, or nobody there is insane enough to do it.
I saw my first pickup tandem in 33 years last month, big 5th wheel travel trailer with about a 18' enclosed trailer behind.
It was whipping all over the place. Scary.
I have a 24' enclosed trailer, but I'm contemplating selling it. It's big enough that it'll fit all of our stuff (ok, well before I bought new beds, lawnmower, patio furniture, etc) but it really should have 7500 pound axles. Ideally I think I'd like to get a boat instead, and a flatbed trailer whenever I get another wheeler, with an in-bed camper.

Mine isn't a 5th wheel, but I have a 24' enclosed trailer that was loaded to the brim...as in I tried to use every single cubic inch of space when helping a friend move to northern Michigan. With my half ton hemi 3.55, only thing not stock is the tires and they are 285/70/17. Pulled like nothing and got about 10 MPG through the hilly terrain. Granted the hills would slow me down 5 MPH, or the couple real big ones 10 MPH, when I tried to keep the tranny from downshifting...I learned real quick to just try to speed up the 5 MPH then I'd be right where I wanted to be at the top of the hill, and never downshifted.

I bought a 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland last month and they were tryin to get me to go 96 months and I told em they were crazy and if they would just knock another 3 grand off everything would be good. They wouldn't so I called another dealer and bought that Jeep from them for 4 thousand cheaper than the other dealer.
Back to the original topic though you shouldn't have any problems towing your trailer but don't expect much for fuel mileage. The break controller is a must and air bags will make it handle even better. Next step is 4.56 gears and that would increase your fuel mileage as well.
