Amp research power step question

Very interesting. Looking at the manual It uses a electric motor and a Gear Reduction to retract and lower the step. This is controlled by using Posi-taps at the "Door Ajar Circuit" at the Fuse box.

I have these. They are the factory setup. When the drivers side doors open, only the drivers side step drops. I'm at stock height, and when it drops it goes down about 50% of the clearence height. Same for the passenger side.

If you have to get into the front and rear doors, train yourself to open both doors. closing one then opening another makes them go up and down twice as much.

You have to be carefull when you are under the truck, that no one opens the door. I haven't had it happen yet, but it could be a squeeze.
