@ Ram15008 - once it is tuned you can disconnect it from the truck.

@ Dirty - Im really thinking of laying my Trinity down for a while and picking up a SCT and SC3865 so I can have custom tuning and trans control. It seems thats the only option for 04 guys.

Default decision made.

i finally decided on superchips cortex. it should be here in the next few days and hopefully it works out. it seems like it has the most options for what i want to do to my truck. thanks for all the input.

You need to start associating with people who actually know something of what they are talking about. Superchips reads & clears codes.

The differences between the Cortex (not Vortex) is contains tunes for more Dodge models on one tuner and comes with a warranty (which is void as soon as you do tranny tuning). The 3865 is all you need...

Amazing that they offer the warranty, then void it when you tune the tranny.

Since I have an 08, I'm gonna stick with my DSP. It shifts plenty fine for me (much better then stock) but I understand why you guys with the older trucks go with the 3865 for the trans support. It's a shame that it is taking DSP forever to get you guys hooked up.

I doubt Diablo will EVER do anything for the 03/04 guys for TCM support. Thats why i just went ahead and bought an 05 PCM and harness. Only issue now is getting the time to get it programmed and installed.

But IMO, for our trucks (gas) the only options for tunes should be the Diablo Predator (03+) and Trinity (04+) or the Superchips 3815 (03 only) or 3865 (04+)
