i have a 2004 dodge ram slt with the chrome bumber. i seen a couple of rams in my town that been transform into the newer fronts. i wanna put the front of a 06 with the srt 10 bumper. what would i need to change? and about how much will it cost me.

 

Now why would you want to do that? The body style you have is gorgeous.

You'll need both front quarter panels, headlights, grille, and bumper. Most will bolt right on but some take a little "coercion". With all the parts plus paint, you are looking at a hefty bill.

My opinion? Very much not worth all the trouble or cost to make your truck something it's not, especially when it looks great already. I had an 2004 Ram Hemi and I almost prefer the way those look over my 2007.

i just really like the way it looks. i dont need to get a new hood? or anything that goes under the bumpers?

 

A few have done it and if I had all the parts given to me I would do it but I would go out buying all the sheet metal just to do it. Hoods are the same but everything IamFrank said is right on.

 

As weedahoe mentioned, the hoods are the same therefore you do not need a different one. The new style Grille will bolt right up.

 

yea its all bolt on and a way to really add to the looks. Paint will cost more than the materials if you order it from an aftermarket OE parts dealer, and grille, front quarters, and bumpers all happen to be things they stock

Or find a donor from a pick and pull

Personally I wouldnt change it. I think the early gen 3's look a lot better. I dont like the swooped lights and tit tail lights.

I can't see how anyone thinks the 06-08 front is better than the 02-05. The 1994-2005 and the 2009+ all look like big rigs....I don't know what the heck the 06-08 is supposed to look like.....a bug eyed frog maybe? And those Lego taillights?? Please.....No wonder Ram sales dropped and Chrysler almost went under. Now it looks as if they have some smart designers as whoever designed the 09 Ram is a pure genius. Sorry to offend anyone but its just my personal opinion. We all have different tastes/personalities and thats what makes us unique!
