Default Electric Cut Out Questions

I had a couple of questions regarding exhaust cutouts. Ive looked at a lot of the videos on youtube, but the video quality is so bad I cant actually tell were it is worth spending the money on. I really want my truck to sound good when idling, sorta like its cammed. I was wondering if anyone had them, and how well they like them.
Thanks,
Ethan

ya that sounds good, yours is cammed though... Do you still think my stock 4.7L would have the same sound? I like that almost nascar like idle that your truck has

It wont sound like mine because like you said, mine is cammed and I have a 112 LSA cam. The lower the LSA # the more lope it will have but also a torque curve in the lower RPM range.

There are 4.7's on youtube with cutouts but all I have seen are cammed. Some sound more wicked than mine.

But overall, would a stock 4.7 sound better with a cutout, yes it would. I highly suggest getting with and buying from Dave @ http://www.dmhperformance.com/

His warranty on his cutouts are like none other.

Alright so I just got my cutouts put on yesterday and they sound like ****... I have no clue what I'm going to do now that im down $400, and cant stand the sound of the new exhaust. I had it dumped with a glasspack before I got the cutout done and it sounded way beter. Does anyone know of anyway to make this horrible purchase of ine sound better?

I have to agree. The 4.7's Sound like *** without a muffler.... My last truck (01 dakota) had a 4.7... and i cut the cat out and never put a test pipe or anything back in.... It sounded like your exhaust pipe was in a lake.... Not the same as a cutout but pretty damn close....

I only have one cutout and it is in the middle of the cab on the passanger side. Is there anything I can buy to make it sound better. Like engine components? Preferably cheap ones haha?

I dont know what your setup specifications were but I had no muffler on this truck and it sounded badass. I had compliments almost everyday. It was droney and that's why I put a magnaflow on but it sounds 1/10 as good. I absolutely loved the sound it had though. If I weren't on my phone I would post a vid
