Default SRT power bulge hood ?

So after getting my truck back from the shop, around 37-43 mph, i notice a faint whistleing noise. Could this be the hood "going into ram air" if thats possible. I've checked and double checked stuff for tightness or vibrations and can't find anything. All i can come up with after ready a little info on the purpose of the hood is the incoming air causing it.

My second question is this. My intake i purchased off ebay and it's the twin ram set-up. It comes off the throttle body about a foot or so and v's out with two cone type filters. Has anyone or does anyone know of anyone who has attempted to box the unit (filter set-up) in kinda like the older shaker hoods for the full ram air effect. I'm sure the opening in the hood allowing cool air up high in the engine bay is good but it could be better.........what do you guys think? Josh

First off, where are the pictures??

I don't have a SRT10 hood, but I would give a guess that the ram air of the hood (if functional) could cause a small whistle sound. If that is all that you changed, I would guess that is the answer.

Theres a decent pic for ya bgbluram2.

My CAI makes a little noise itself but this noise is a little different.........it's like a high pitched whistle and then at around 44mph it sounds like a deep inhale......i've had a few freinds ride along to see what they thought. Their like me though.....leaning more towards like a ram air effect. Never heard it before though

This isnt the first time I have heard this before though, there have been quite a few posts over the forums that I am on where the adjusment ***** under the hood where the grill is needs a little adjustment/tweaking. Wouldnt really show on the sides of the hood I guess.

Truck looks great! Thanks for the pic haha. Does your truck shift into overdrive or anything like that at that particular speed? I would hear my intake exhale when I shut my old truck off with a K&N FIPK intake.
